I recently completed the 16 week Survival Spanish Course and I thought it was a very enriching experience. Before this course I had taken some Spanish in high school and a couple of online vocabulary classes over the years but did not really feel confident to speak the language much before taking this class. This course is structured in such a way that you start speaking Spanish at the very first lesson and while building your experience each week by teaching you different everyday phrases that you actually use as you go about your daily life. Anthony paces the course in such a way that you are challenged but never frustrated. He is available between classes for questions and to offer additional resources as needed. After completing the course I now feel much more comfortable when engaging in speaking Spanish. I am excited to continue learning more. Picture this: I was a country boy, raised amidst the vast cornfields, where the concept of Spanish speakers was something I'd only discovered at the age of 13. Little did I know, this discovery would ignite a lifelong passion for language learning and world exploration. Fast forward to today, and I've not only traveled to enchanting places like Spain, Nicaragua, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic, but I also have exciting plans to check off more destinations like Chile and Argentina in the upcoming year.
My Journey to Mastery:
But my story doesn't end there. Over the past decade, I've been on a relentless pursuit of language mastery. I've dabbled in six languages, including Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, and Arabic. It was during this journey that I honed my unique teaching method, inspired by my own struggles and triumphs. The turning point came in high school when, after four years of studying Spanish, a teacher emphasized speaking over grammar, and everything clicked. It was this breakthrough that led me to develop a methodology focused on speaking and listening as the foundation of language learning.
Putting My Method to the Test:
Armed with my newfound approach, I embarked on an exciting challenge in Romania and Morocco. Armed with just two days of preparation, I delved into these countries, eager to see how much I could learn in two short weeks. The transformation was nothing short of incredible. From knowing nothing, I swiftly gained the ability to confidently navigate daily life, from ordering food to buying groceries, seeking directions, and asking basic questions about people. In just two weeks of immersive practice, my world had expanded exponentially.

While any Spanish you know is of course a benefit, this course is meant for beginners. If you are starting from absolute zero, the first couple weeks may feel pretty intense, but students start to feel comfortable around lesson 5 or 6. So hold on through those first couple weeks and you will be fine.
